Annual Giving: Every Gift Matters
The Arc Foundation of Monroe is celebrating over 30 years of empowering people supported and employed by The Arc of Monroe. The Foundation is committed to raising funds to support the meaningful and necessary mission of The Arc of Monroe.
Today, there are many ways a person, corporation, supporting organization, or the community can support The Arc Foundation of Monroe.
Annual fund donors collectively provide the critical operating funds that allow us to address the most pressing—and sometimes unforeseen—needs of the people we support and our employees. Loyal donors who support The Arc every year after year sustain our ability to grow and evolve as needed.
Heilbronner Society
The Arc Foundation of Monroe invites you to become a member of the Heilbronner Society, the Foundation’s Leadership Giving Society. The Heilbronner Society recognizes those who make a pledge of $1,000 or more over 3 consecutive years for a total commitment of $3,000 or more.
Twenty-five percent of every pledge to The Heilbronner Society will directly benefit The Arc of Monroe’s Guardianship Program, while the remaining 75% will contribute to our endowment, supporting areas of greatest need.
We invite you to join Warren Heilbronner’s enduring legacy by enrolling in this society today.
Warren Heilbronner passed away in May of 2024 at the age of 91. His dedicated support for The Arc of Monroe began in 1973, serving as VP/president and later as trustee and chairman of the NYSARC Trust for nearly four decades. Named The Arc New York Volunteer of the Year in 2020, he was honored by The Arc Foundation of Monroe in 2021 with the Cornerstone Award. Warren’s profound impact includes his commitment to The Arc’s Guardianship Committee, pivotal in making life-altering decisions for people we support, contributing significantly to its esteemed reputation statewide. We are honored to re-establish The Heilbronner Society in tribute to Warren’s legacy.
Gift Planning
Have you ever considered extending your charitable giving beyond your lifetime? How would you like to be remembered? What legacy do you want to leave?
Please consider joining those who have made, or plan to make, a Legacy Gift to The Arc Foundation of Monroe. These thoughtful gifts are often called “the ultimate gift,” not because of their size but for the spirit in which they were made.
Here are a few ways that friends of the Arc can make a Legacy Gift to the Arc Foundation and become a member of the Legacy Society that we have established to honor Tim’s memory…
- Designate part of your retirement plan.
- Name The Arc Foundation of Monroe in your will.
- Make a Life Income Gift.
- Leave stock or real estate.
- Give life insurance.
The Tim Rothschild Legacy Society
Tim Rothschild, a person supported by The Arc, inspired many with his remarkable generosity. Our Legacy Society is named in his honor. Tim was considered a generous, considerate and courageous person who had a concerning spirit for others less fortunate and would share anything he had with someone who needed it.
In-Kind Gifts
Throughout our history, gifts and in-kind donations of all sorts have helped us further our work and brought opportunity and resources to the people we support. Contributions large and small continue to make a difference, and we believe there is something every person and organization can give to allow us to achieve our goals.
We invite you to make an in-kind donation by supporting one of our event’s silent auctions. In-kind donations, also known as gifts in kind, are non-cash donations like goods and services. In kind gifts are just as valuable to The Arc of Monroe as monetary donations. We are always looking for items to garner high bids and would love to chat with you about items or ideas you have for our next silent auction!

Support Aging With Grace, Aging in Place
Thanks to generous sponsors, donors, and grants we successfully completed our goal of raising $1.3 million to build two new seven-bedroom, ranch style homes that are fully accessible. But we’re not done!
Beginning in 2024 and progressing into 2025, we will continue to celebrate our “Aging With Grace, Aging In Place” campaign with our next iteration: Homewood! While the home is not accessible, the lot at 130 Homewood Lane is exceptional, and we recently launched a campaign to fund a new build there!
If you would like to contribute to our Aging With Grace, Aging In Place campaign, or you would like to talk about how you can become more involved, please let us know! Join us as we continue our journey to reach our goal of giving all our residents the opportunity to age gracefully in place.
