of the Year Award

Monroe County Sheriff's Office

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has been an outstanding partner to The Arc of Monroe, fostering meaningful connections with our community over the past several years. Through their collaboration with our self-advocacy group, the Arc Alliance, they have helped raise awareness, break down barriers, and build mutual understanding. MCSO deputies have joined our meetings to discuss public safety and community issues, and even welcomed our group to their Zone B Headquarters in Henrietta for an engaging tour. Their implementation of the Blue Envelope Program has provided drivers with disabilities greater peace of mind and confidence during traffic stops, an important step toward accessibility and inclusion. We look forward to continuing this partnership and are excited about the opportunities ahead to further strengthen the relationship between MCSO and The Arc of Monroe.
